Cardinal, Iroquois, Long Sault Parkway; daytripping!

We went with the idea to snap some birds. No birds. I think you really have to go, camp, and do it in the early morning. We don't camp!
That said, we saw lots of sunshine, water, buildings, along the way.

Bridge to the USA.

Long Sault Camping! A series of islands, you can drive through.

You can see the old canal.

 Vultures!

Farran Park office. Lovely interpretive centre. Terrific walking trails. However, I was still a bit sore from stacking wood!

Long Sault Parkway, they have camping and a nice beach.

A moose mailbox!

Looks like a cute little airport. When we could bring our airplane to Canada we found so many nice places to lake and even camp under our wing. My week of "city life" in the States has come to an end. Feels good to be going home, but this time we are driving with a car full of US bargains even with the Loonie not anywhere near par. - Margy

Lovely drive - you had better luck getting the bridge than I did! The moose is great fun! YAM xx

The moose mailbox is my favourite!

you don't have to camp to snap birds around here, but you do usually have to be up and about rather early in the morning to get the best ones -- and that becomes more and more difficult the older we get. But any day trip is fun in my opinion and this one looks quite rewarding from your pictures.

You found lots of other stuff than birds. There are some rich places along the way.

I love getting down that way. We have relatives in Morrisburg. I think it's time we considered a visit down that way.
