The work involved is incredible! These truckers are to be commended. Four in a row, each dumping gravel just as the other finished. We had fun watching them, rather than being pissed off that we might be delayed.

We are repaved! What a long process. This is just the bottom layer. Another goes on top in a couple of weeks. A smaller vehicle will do the shoulders and the driveways.

it is hard work!! prior to retiring, our company did earth work and underground utilities. we worked closely with paving crews and often supplied stone and gravel when it was needed on a job!! the gravel pits were in PA. and it was a long haul for us in NJ!!!
Some people can be so impatient!
I get impatient when the road work goes on FOREVER. There seems to be road work happening on every route into downtown in Pembroke. And they aren't in any rush to get finished.
