Momma owl is still around!

I keep thinking I've seen the last of her, but she is keeping the chicks nearish the nesting cavity. I think I hear the poppa in the forest at night. 'Who-cooks-for-you!"
I didn't go looking for the chicks, as I have wonderful views of them from the previous day, June 14th!
These are from June 15th, I didn't see her yesterday. I was watering the veggie garden, another dry week, and she swooped onto the branch.

She continues to feed her two chicks. I was watering the veggie garden when she swooped over to a tree. The first segment is in slow motion, as she is so fast. Hubby and I were watching her. I called him out, with orders to grab his binoculars! June 15th The first few seconds are in slow-motion. She is fast.

She must be used to you by now, and she must feel safe and at home there.

So glad the barred owls have chosen your property, Jennifer. Brilliant photo captures. I'm really enjoying them!
