Cows – such gentle creatures!

Except for the one that attacked a woman. I couldn't remember where or when it occurred and I Googled it. Turns out there are more incidents than I had imagined! We have a lot of cow statues in Ontario, too!

aww, i just noticed that frog on your thumb. very cool shot. i guess creatures don't bug you ... considering you pick up snakes and all. i am not that brave. i did pick up a field mouse as kid and scared my mom half to death. she doesn't like mouse. i have been thinking of my most not like creatures.
1. snakes.
2. mosquitoes
3. ticks

i will allow black snakes to live because they keep mice at the a low. but others i am afraid i don't understand they reason? copperheads keep bugging me. not sure if you had heard that story. not fun for me. scared the pooh out of me. not cool.

Cows were what I grew up with, and the only time we were so careful was when there was a new-born calf, and made sure never to get between her and the baby. Yesterday when flying into Palmerston North, coming in to land, lots of cows below, and they must be so used to the plane, none ran, just continued to slowly eat their grass or hay. Do you have cows and farms near you?

I adore cattle; most folk know to beware bulls, but rarely do they think about the potential for damage from cows! Mostly they are fine - unless they don't know you... and if they have calves. Very protective of calves, are the cows... YAM xx

I wonder if that milking cow statue travels- there was one here on Sparks Street the weekend of Buskerfest.

I agree with you. Indeed a gentle creature. In my country, we have a milk chocolate named 'the cow', and it's very popular, especially among children. In India, the cows are considered sacred.

Cows ordinarily are very docile but get between them and their baby or there could be fireworks.

Cute cow pics. Never heard about the cow that attacked the lady. I always thought they were so docile, but then I guess angry gets in all across every species.

There is a statue of an actual cow, Springbank Snow Countess, in Woodstock, my home town. She was a champion milk producing Holstein.
