Yes, southeastern Ontario is thawing slowly. Big Rideau is freezing cold, but the sun is warming us up. It's lovely in the front yard, in the lee of the front porch. Cats are quite happy!
But the rivers are flowing, and ice is running over the brink. Code Dr. was bleak, (no birds at all), except for the ONE chorus frog singing (you can year him here)! This is a Birds Unlimited bridge, and later the ducks, muskrats and geese will be here.
This family has a bit of a front yard pond!
The Rideau's islands are still frozen, although the dark grey ice means that things are swimming along nicely!
This family, with a young 'un in front of the driver, mom behind the driver, was ditching. That might be a good term for it. Not sure I'd want my kids doing this...

lovely clear light in these photos, though it does look very cold!
We're still seeing ice coming down the Rideau River with great regularity in the city, so there are places upstream your way with ice, and most of Dow's Lake remains frozen at present, though the Canal itself is opening up.
It does look like a little melting here and there. Ditching, downright dangerous!!! Here we have 4C, fire is going, and very cosy inside, family from Rotorua came yesterday, school hols so able to be away weekdays. Hugs to you both.
It's strange out here. We've had snow in the high country several times this week. The rain at our level hasn't been that cold though. But I'll take any snow we can get to hold is through the summer. - Margy
It's great to hear that things are thawing out for you.

Definite thaw!!! ...and are helmets not compulsory on those ATVs??? YAM xx
I'm sorry about your computer and the videocam. We still have ice on the small forest lakes, but most of the snow is gone here in the south.
UH-OH! What a shame about your computer and videocam! We were up at Lake Simcoe yesterday and there's still a lot of ice there too.
