Amorous turkeys in full feathers!

Look at his blue face!!!
All critters are getting excited. Crazy bird chases, squirrel chases, too.

They are feeling particularly twitterpated! You can tell by the blue in the male's faces!
Jan. 16/13 'normal!'

Here, chicky, chicky! They praddle along, then realize they are hungry, eat some, then spot a female, and do their displays, again!

I must admit that they aren't totally in focus. I realized that my eyes are changing, again, with age. My long-distance is really bad, but it's slightly improved, rendering my current glasses less than useful and uncomfortable. My reading (and time on the computer) is getting difficult. I had my old glasses made into reading glasses, for bedtime. I've ordered a new pair of glasses with graduated lenses. News and film at 11:00!

They followed her, like twins.
This is a group of 5 we've been seeing all winter.

Wow, what a difference in a male turkey's face colour! Looks like he went crazy with blue eye shadow. What's with the bear crossing sign? I thoroughly enjoy your blog.
Cheers, Florence

The toms put on a colorful show. It looks like they have lots of competition.

The toms really are strutting around!

How different, in nature the male partner has the bright colours, and struts his stuff, in us, we females have bright clothes, make-up, hair done just so, and the men wear dark suits, maybe the tie would be a bright spot. Look at the deer gathering too, maybe they enjoyed the display. Glasses, Hugh had new computer ones, and an upgrade in bi-focals a few weeks ago, 6 months maybe till one cataract can be removed!!
I met a man some years ago, in a bike and quad shop!!! He ordered his glasses online, anti-fog for under the helmet, and so much less in cost, as long as you know the prescription, and size. I like our optometrist, he takes great care to find frames that fit well and suit (my face).

I used to know about male turkeys displaying, but I'd forgotten. Thanks for the colourful reminder. Good stuff, Jenn, glasses or no glasses.

Those two look so much alike, how does a girl turkey ever decide which one she likes better? LOL
