Daisy registers displeasure |
Daddy assures her: 'Crunchies all gone!' |
Do you remember that messing up of fairy tales? Kee shried!
Anyone remember the context? I have forgotten.
Some comedian.Anyway, she cried!
No more crunchies in the bucket. It was a horrible day.
It gets worse...
She had to check |
My faithful readers will remember. She loved the snow. It's been really cold very suddenly. The cats keep going to a door and begging to go out. We open that door, they shake their heads, and back away from the cold.
They try another door a few minutes later. No way. They keep hoping that THAT door will have a warm clime! (This will change as they get adjusted!)
It's too cold! |
Happily, Daddy came back with crunchies for them all. He'd gone into town early, the vet clinic opens at 8:00 a.m., and he saved the day. He had helpers to pour the dry cat food into the bucket.
Sady was there, too. She's the reason we need the expensive hypoallergenic food. If she eats regular cat food she'll throw up.

Ha ha - sweet cat!
This is so funny, ours too have a bowl of wet food, out of a tin or packet, then dry food , and one cat has a little of the wet, then some biscuits, then more of the other, and the snow, Felicity will not even put her paws onto frost. Hope you are OK, I have seen on Accuweather the huge falls, roads closed, traffic banned totally from some roads, I cannot really imagine the magnitude of it all.Stay warm, Jean. p.s. Mr J, you are a brave man to drive out for the feline tucker!!!
During the winter my parents' cats would be in and out all day. The rest of the year they tended to be out, but winter, frequent warm ups were definitely required.

Ah, life is a full bucket again!!!
I think most of us shrink back when the temperature difference is rapid and fierce as you have experienced. YAM xx
I'm with the kitties on this one -- I'd be looking for a door with warmer weather too ;>)....
I love this, Jenn. Good for the kitties' daddy, getting proper kitty crunchies before they cried themselves to sleep.
But I think I agree with Sallie about finding a door with warmer weather!
Luv, K
