FLying things and other stuff

At the feeder, a new bird for me: Red-breasted Nuthatch.
Who knew?
White-breasted Nuthatch
-the difference is the line across the eye.
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Tersa Moth - one of the sphinx species

I will be sad when they disappear in winter.
Then you find the turtles. Why do they cross the road??? I rescued this one, sent it off in the shoulder, in the direction in which it was headed.

You can't see me!

Love the cute nuthatches and the moths is cool looking. I have stopped to rescue turtles. I do not want them being run over. Great shots, have a wonderful weekend!

We have lots of Red breasted nuthatches but not so many White breasted nuthatches. They tend to spend the winter here.

I am really going to have to work on my bird IDing! If my eyes were better, maybe I would be able to see those differences, but those little things fly away so fast, I have a hard time getting everything sorted out before they fly away! You really are a great soul - your love for nature just comes through in every post!
