Buster's catch and release program

Who me?
How hard can it be to photograph a grasshopper's wings in flight? Hmmf.
Buster decided to help. He caught one for me.

Then, he caught a wee mouse. He kept catching it, bringing it out from the raspberries, onto the lawn, then bringing it back out when it headed for the hills. When I videotaped him, he seemed to give it up in embarrassment!

Very cute video, enjoyed the photos and how obliging of him to bring you your photo subjects :)

A cat trained to bring you photography subjects - what a novel idea! Great shots of the grasshopper, BTW!

When I was in high school, I was given an insect collection. I couldn't figure out what one was. It had wings like a butterfly but not the body. Finally I learned it was a grasshopper displayed with its wings spread. - Margy
