Truck watching for my grandkids!

My granddaughters LOVE trucks and heavy vehicles! We've bought them some cute books that feature them.

Here are some videos for them.
First, they redid the shoulders of our road. Hot work, indeed.

Then they watered and hammered it all down. One guy has to drive backwards.

 Next, 3-alarm fire, fire trucks!
 In Bala, hydro trucks!

But the most popular video: the garbage truck! About 3000 hits, and the employee waved and did a dance for her.

Here is a big truck, hauling stuff in Perth. It shows why we need a ring road!

Tony Clement must be there with his dump truck load of money! Which truck was his?

Good for the little girls and good for you for encouraging their love of machinery! Great example of one of life's improvements since back in the dark ages when I was a little girl (when we played with dolls and our brother with trucks -- or else!) Thank goodness that's changed.

My son was fascinated by trucks when he was little. Great shots. Have a wonderful week ahead.

Who'd have thought watching a garbage truck could be so much fun? :))

Yep, the streets of Perth are sometimes kinda crowded!

Nice piece on trucks, we take these people for granted, such hard and expert work!

Thanks for stopping by today and for your nice words, much appreciated Jenn!

Kids are always fascinated with heavy equipment vehicles. One year my grade 1 class watched as a new development was going in across the road. We learned vehicle names, what they did and we did all sorts of activities related to the vehicles, graphing, art work, comparisons, venn diagrams etc. etc. it made for a fun learning unit.
