I'm really surprised Barry is taking down that big oak. I didn't think they went for that species. I haven't been able to get back to our beaver pond in ages. (Hopefully if it gets really cold before the snow comes we'll make it) Last time we were there the critters were dropping all of the smaller deciduous trees surrounding the spot where the creek enters the millpond. It looked like a massive pile of pick up sticks (remember that game?) hovering over the water.

Ice in the birdbath but flowers in pots were ok.
That oak tree will be heavy to drag away.
Oooh, that's cold. I'm incredulous that you get to watch a beaver go about his work, how great is that?!
