๐ฌYes, ICE employees are disappearing visitors to for-profit detainment facilities. They are treating them inhumanely, with strip searches, limited food, lights on 24/7, by falsely incarcerating them. Normally, when a tourist is inadmissible to a country, they offer to let them rescind their entry. Not so in this day and age. They are rounded up and sent to jail. In the jails, there are fights, anger, and chaos.
CTV reports that 71,000 humans have been deported.

45. Dixon (on the left) lived there 20 years, had a cafe and lost money during COVID. Paying back $18,000 of his $30K back taxes, they shipped him out to Alligator Alcatraz. The rest of his family lives in Florida, he was sent back to Canada.
41. Working 4 years in US, came back to Canada for a ski holiday. Denied entry back into the US. Living in a friend's house for now. He renewed his Visa. Denied.
They were in a room with 30 women, no blankets, little food, and much discomfort. Talk about an undeveloped country.
Her mother is beside herself. I cannot link to the Facebook post, but they are hoping to get her home. Her story is on YouTube, put in chains, whisked away to Arizona. The mother says they've booked a flight home for her, and while ICE doesn't give permission until the last moment, they are hopeful.
