The 'new' deck! Hunter rebuilt it for us. I shall stain it if we ever get some consistently warm weather.
We continue with the ribbon game in the bathroom.
You know in animal rehabs and zoos they put stuff out as intellectual stimuli for the critters. Somebody went to the bathroom. Nutmeg was patiently waiting for Joe Brian to slide the ribbon under the door. So funny. I went to powder my nose and left the door ajar. She peek around at me to see if I was playing.
We've had cold nights and warm days. In the warmth, the moths were out, then they thought better of it as it got cold!
Fred has been happy with green grass.
Daffodils, two days apart:
Sweet little crocus:
My middle 'child' did a 10k run in Vancouver. I am most proud of him. I have explained to him that once you hit 40 it is all downhill! He is proving he is good. He turns 43 in May! Joe Brian says, 'The first 60 years are easy!'
Lenten Rose, Hellebore
Bryony turned 8 yesterday. We spoke on the weekend when Jesse had 5 minutes to talk! She explained that they are having Student-led conferencing, and her friend will be late to her birthday party. They are so precious!

Yes, the daffs are arriving.
Congratulations to your son for staying healthy...and Happy Birthday to your little one. This looks like a deck that is very enjoyable even without the stain. Hopefully you will get some good days to get the job done.
Loved reading your catch up with family, critters and flowers!
You are at least a month behind us as far as blooms. It is nice to see daffodils again!
I like that deck. Aren't sons great? Our oldest is doing a triathlon this weekend. He says he's not really ready this year but will do it anyway.
Nice, pretty new deck! Great accomplishments for all the kids. Linda in Kansas

The decking looks very smart and the flowers are heart lifters... as is family: my sister is on her way to visit again. It means a lot. YAM xx
I hope that Fred watches for the coyote.
What a lovely post and so many good things. I'm especially glad spring has landed in your world at long last. And you have such a lovely family. I used to play the ribbon game with Lizzie. We should revive that!
Your grands are complete joy! Great job to your son on his 10k.
Fred is such a character. Love seeing her. I've seen a lot of butterflies and moths out here recently too.
I love the intense cat behavior when they're on the 'hunt' for something.
Happy Birthday Bryony, Jesse gave me a smile and congratulations to your son for running the marathon. Impressive! You new deck looks very smart. Lovely to see your area coming to life after the winter.
I admire anyone who runs! Your Crocus are very pretty!
Your new deck looks great! Those first blooms of spring are always such a treat. I hope there are more of them soon.
Laughing at the fountain. It is hard to be patient, eh?
We need some of our deck resurfaced. Your flowers are beautiful.
Take care, Happy Friday! Have a great weekend.
I used to run 10k's too but switched to 5k's,they were over sooner! Congrats on the run!
