We knew a storm was coming. I was counselled to bring the shovels up from the shed, while I was bringing the snowblower up to the garage. MEMORY FAILED! I didn't think of it until there was 10 cm on the ground in the afternoon. You may think that 4 shovels is excessive, but I keep on on the front deck, another on the back deck. The third and fourth in the garage. (The blue one died a horrible death last year. The handle kept detaching from the shovel.)
It began slowly...
One deer track across the driveway.

Brrrrr, yes winter is biting in. Here, The Grey is being bounced with icy raindrops, borderline sleet. Hey ho... YAM xx
I think it's smart to have a shovel here & there, since you get so much snow! The black squirrel is going to look like royalty surrounded by all the white!
But you were ready for it! or the shovels were ...
Yikes! You got nailed! 10 cm is a lot, especially for a first snow. (Or maybe not, in Canada!)
Brrrr!

When you say it is ALL melting, we are not there yet. But the streets are melted at least.
We don't get snow here often so I love seeing your snow pictures.
I don't like the slushy snow as it's a mess to shovell and slippery to drive on
Brrrrr, your winter is here!
All the best Jan
