Perth Studio Tour 2017

It was the 25th anniversary of this tour
Hubby knew I needed to get out of the house, to keep busy, and we did. He's an excellent caregiver!

I am having a dress shortened by Dagmar Sagat, and she was there. (It's a light fabric and I fear ruining it!) We bought a pillow from Dagmar, a time ago, for Isabelle Coccinelle!

We saw some of our local peeps, like Scott Dobson our fence man, and met some new, like Dr. Shelley Ball. Shelley is a photographer, but also a scientist who founded Biosphere. We had a good chat comparing our respective properties and sharing wild animal stories!

The sumac is a brilliant red. The photos don't do it justice. We had rain, from the storm formerly known as Hurricane Nate. About 13mm.

Poor Scott, out in the pouring rain! We love his work. He lugged a lunch, and there was some lovely cookies and such inside. Most of the vendors had treats for the visitors!

The tour is lovely, seeing people's studios is very interesting. I don't tend to do photos too close up, as this is their intellectual property. One place, the potter Susie Osler, had some cider. Yum. You could see where the ladies had to empty the canopy of water, right over the cider!

You cannot see them, but there was a flock of Canada Geese in the bay, below.  This is Christie Lake.

I love these tours. We did the Madawaska Valley route last weekend. T'was lovely. Glad you had a good day out. The sumac is spectacular! I need to transplant some across my field. The neighbour has a bunch of dead pine and doesn't give a darn.....grr

In your last photo, I love the curlygig wind ornament. And you are so thoughtful not to take close-up photos, so respectful.

Well, I wish I could get out of the house for a day. You saw some interesting territory.

We have studio tours each year here in Powell River, but I've never gone on one. The season for bazaars is starting and lots of artists bring their wares to sell for the holiday season. - Margy

Brooke Road. We've been to a studio tour or two out that way, but not lately.
