Hot air balloon - Brockville harbour

The Great Waterway of SE Ontario
Beautiful sight
We visited the Tall Ships event in Brockville, June 14-16, 2013.
What a wonderful day in Brockville!

There was a tethered hot air balloon. It must have been magnificent to see the ships from up high.

It was intriguing.

Would you or have you gone up in one?

I don't think I want to do this!
putting it away for the day

There was a big launch last Friday.
amazing it fits into this package!

The Great Waterway is a Regional Tourism Organization promotes and invests in tourism along Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River, from Prince Edward County in the West to the Quebec border in the East. No, I would not go up in a hot air balloon. Too risky and I don't want to die. Lol.

I've been up in a balloon. I was surprised by the noise and the heat!

I'm not sure I would go up in one either but I do love looking at them. A friend's husband treated her to a trip for their anniversary. They had a wonderful time. I used to see balloons float over our house all the time in California. They were so low they would wave to us as we were in the garden. The landing spot was not too far away. Once they missed their spot and landed at the bottom of the road. While they waited for their truck they anchored the balloon and took the neighborhood kids 30 feet up and down up and down. A lot of disappointed kids when that truck turned up :)

Wishing you a great week Jenn,

It's lovely being up in a balloon. The only problem is the bumpy landing. But if you go up in a tethered balloon, that shouldn't be a problem.

What a great sight to see! Seems like a great adventure to be up in the clouds - it's something we all wish we had the courage to do. It must be amazing to look below and see beauty in a different perspective. Blessings to you & have a wonderful week!

Wonderful. I smile when I think of hot air balloons. The seem so romantic and quiet until you ride in one and realize they're very noisy!

I love the tall ships. Whether I would go up in a hot air balloon or not would depend on my mood and the confidence I had in the "pilot."
