Nocturnal visitors - it's spring!

Just when I wonder what I'll post, another sign of spring, and a great photo-op! The motion sensor lights went off and I knew we had friends up and about!
You know it is spring when the raccoons wake up! The cats were fascinated! If you look closely, you can spot one that is missing its claws. When the one fell down off the bucket and beam (check out the video at 0:33!), it dropped the bird seed into the ash can. So funny at 12:30 a.m.!

Climbing beams to get into the bird feeder!

Nasty pesky beggars aren't they? We don't have them here yet but they are close and will be here.

Oh oh. At our house that wouldn't be good. We have an invisible fence that keeps the GSD in... he keeps racoons out...:)

Raccoons are pretty cheeky. We've been camping, sitting in front of the campfire and they come right up to our feet. Sometimes I think they are going to crawl right up into my lap.

Raccoons are cute, but aren't they a problem. I've heard how they bite the tires off of cars to get at the salt and things like that.
