banning cell phones on public transit

I am for it! However, the discussion on CBCnews.ca was 50% for and against, so far.
It is funny how we have to legislate good manners.

One person suggestion that the $500 fine was fine....

just as long as they apply the same fines for:
. people who talk too loud without using a cell phone
. people who smell bad
. people who use too much cologne
. people whose headphones are too loud
. people who block aisles and exits
. people who don't give up their seats for old ladies
. people who emit noxious gases

Oh, my. It boils down to lack of respect for others, and a sense of importance.
