It was very exciting, having seen Tigger this past weekend, as well. I heard the blue jays all calling and nagging something as I took my daily walkabout. Sure enough, there was my owl. I last saw it on Dec. 23rd. As I approached, the blue jays dispersed. Then I walked around her, and as I walked towards the house, they came back. I approached for a second look and off they went, again. Poor owl just sitting there hunting. Even the chickadees were giving her a hard time!
The wind was ruffling her feathers. She tolerated me, however.

YAY, great shots. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
Handsome!
Lucky you.
Your owl is magnificent and seems perfectly relaxed with you. Have not seen a barred owl here yet. All that name calling by the smaller birds must be annoying. Handy for us, though, for the owl watching tip offs.
Great sighting!
What a beauty!
Such a beautiful owl.
Loved seeing all of your photo's.
All the best Jan
So what kind of owl do you have?
Oops! I didn't read the title. That'll teach me for trying to be a smart ass!
You re having yourself quite a naturalist time of it these days.
Wow, that video gave me a HUGE smile, What a treasure to have one in your own back yard, and the feathers as the wind gave them a few ruffles.I loved it all. p.s. Older daughter and family are in B.C. skiing, -6 C there today, great ski runs, and heaps of snow. Lucky them!!!
Wonderful video Jenn! As Nancy stated, it made me smile. Such a beautiful creature.
