Fieldwork!

Sunday afternoon, after the Willow Creek Stables Open House open house, a drive.

A murder of crows, outstanding in their field!

This is FieldworkSINGWALK WITH NICOLA ODDY - SUMMER 2017
This is a wonderful spot, which has some interesting art installations built in the forest. They haven't added or changed it since 2017. At that time it had a theme of sound.
The solar panels provide electricity for some of the most recent pieces.

This solar panel provided power to the microphone!

The signage invites you to sing in the open air!

Down in the forest, some older pieces.

I love this piece. The sticks are from a beaver dam, dried out, using another stick, the sound is amazing.

Down through the forest, a marsh. It was so dry we could explore it.

Just as we left, another couple came for a visit.

Forest bathing at Fieldwork

We went forest bathing at Fieldwork. It's an amazing park, with creative, clever pieces of art. We've been before, but they are adding pieces each year. They take some away, as well, as some are made of natural materials. Here are my post and photos of previous years.

You can find it between Maberly and Brooke, Ontario, on Old Brooke Rd. Lots of big hobby farms and interesting people live nearby!

There are many who praise the idea of Forest Bathing, which I've mentioned before. For those who cannot meditate, is is a fine way to breathe in the earth, its flora and fauna and renew your spirit. This is a fun way to pop surprises into the forest.

Soon silence will have passed into legend. Man has turned his back on silence. Day after day he invents machines and devices that increase noise and distract humanity from the essence of life, contemplation, meditation. Tooting, howling, screeching, booming, crashing, whistling, grinding, and trilling bolster his ego.

Fieldwork 2014 in Brooke, Ontario

This is an interesting installation. We usually visit in September when the tourists and bugs are fewer! It is in the village of Brooke, on Old Brooke Rd. They have added a few pieces and taken some away. Here were photos from last year.
