Tree frogs

It's that time of year.

I've been bringing plants indoors. We have a frost warning this week.
Traditionally, the tree frog hitches a ride. I found him last year. We'll see what happens this year. I heard him singing last night.

The plant was a gift from JB's aunt who was downsizing.

They are adorable as wee ones!

I didn't need to make another video this year.  This was four years ago. (Daisy's since been rehomed for attacking Hooper.) She was curious.

I looked everywhere that year! This is Dorah a few years ago (2012?). You can see the new pond pump on the deck. It's on its way, the new one. I hope it arrives Friday.

And in February, two years ago! I fed him meal worms that year. He was indoors from October, and then began moving around in April. I THINK he went up the fireplace chimney that year. I'm not certain.

Another sunny day!

Daisy helped me in the backyard. I had to repair my rainbow windsock. The strings broke. I used fishing line to repair it.
I sent a Twitter message to a US acquaintance, who has chronic disease, is constanttly fighting doctors, saying "sometimes we catch the rainbow." She said it cheered her up.

We spotted a Monarch, feeding on clover. It's highly unusual, both the temperature and the Monarch!

Then, in the forest, the largest pile of bear scat I have ever seen! No bear on the trailcam, though. Junior Bear doesn't like it! (Junior Bear is back)  I've moved it see if I can fool him... He hasn't bothered with it since he ripped it off the post. (Junior Bear, Sept. 27)

Daisy snuck up on Dorah. Dorah was non-plussed. I hope you enjoy our walk.

Daisy, Dorah and the snake

Dorah is back on her meds, and still peeing on the carpet. I am not amused. We did walkies June 4th. Maggie Magnolia was blooming nicely.

Back at home, the goldfish were fed by hubby. They are looking pretty healthy. Perhaps there are 8 big ones?

Our large garter snake is still hanging around. He's about 2' long, and the thickness of my thumb! Good little bug eater. I think it's waiting for the frogs to arrive, though. It might be the same one as last year!

They are harmless, at least to humans! It was hiding under the edge of the pond liner, in the warmth of the sun. I think it's going to molt. It's been here since June 1st: Goldfish in the pond
Last year, it was a water snake that slept in the pond liner. Did I tell you the one about the snake and the frog? Watersnakes will bite, but not one this small. Garters are gentler.

The great excitement came at the goldfish pond.

Daisy shows a healthy respect!

What a beautiful day!

Today we anticipate freezing rain. Maybe. Who knows. I shall postdate this, just in case we lose power!!! I remember Ice Storm '98! Jan. 5th, no power for 10 days.

Yesterday we enjoyed the day...
First up, the girls were here. Tigger didn't leave them much bird seed. Hubby went out to refill the feeders! They watched him like eagles. There was a bit of a tiff. Once their ears go back - you know there is trouble.

Can you count them?

One has a bit of an issue with his antler. We can't tell.

I was reminded about an event by a Facebook post. I've been checking their tails, and it looks like Daisy is the observer, but I'm not sure! This is 2013.
