Out to lunch

Thursday, out back I spotted a doe and fawn. They both were sitting on the dead grass. I threw them some food, then we toddled into town.

Joe Brian had a doctor's appointment to check his cold virus and congestion. All was well, although he still had some mild rattling in his lungs. Friday he has an X-ray for safety.

While we are in town, why not have a meal at a new restaurant in an old location. We have been out to lunch since Joseph Brian caught his 100-day cough.

It was a happy outing for these two.

At home, some frozen daffodils are trying to grow! We had a skiff of snow last night, and we're at -5 ℃, but Spring is coming.

Hello Jenn :)
The poor doe and fawn don't have any green grass to eat, but how great that you saw them in your back garden. The restaurant looks very stylish, those gold accessories add a touch of elegance, but you didn't say if you enjoyed the meal! Your photos are lovely.

There's grass there again...from under all the snow! And deer. And what an elegant restaurant for lunch! We have just a few which put out table cloths at dinner, but usually not lunch! Hope the food was as good as it looks.

You say that you’ve been out to lunch for 100 days, but I suspect that it has been much longer than that. 😎🤓🥸😇

That looks like a fine place to dine - well done on treating yourselves... we had a skiff of snow too... It's ridiculous to have winter happening in spring... sigh.... YAM xx

The restaurant looks quite posh. I hope the patient gets over the cough soon.

This looks so fancy. So happy for you both. Hawaii is under a HUGE storm watch right now and schools and such are closed.

Fancy lunch! Good for you to treat yourselves.
Don't tell me fawns are already being born, out there?

I really like the way they have redone that restaurant. The glass table tops were noisy. And after dark, all those candles are 'lit' by battery or something and are very pretty.
Not quite enough choice yet on the menu. Splendid, though, to be out and about once more. Our roads are awful, still, but it cannot be long now till the grader grinds through.

That looks like a marvelous idea after a doc appointment -- and I'm so glad the news was good, the cough is on the mend. I hope the XR is A-OK. That looks like a fabulous restaurant and your food and wine look delicious. This one is making me smile big!

Good to hear cough is not as bad as it was. They can be very exhausting. The restaurant looks lovely. The deer are always a treat to see and enjoyed the sights around the town. Always something going on. Yay for those daffodils!
