Joseph Brian suggested dinner on the patio on Wednesday. We figured we'd do an early dinner before the storm was due to roll in around 5 p.m. This is the lightning map, and I knew we had a bit of time.
Our favourite table, with a view of the lake and the geese and goslings.
Did you do this as a kid? Stick the maple keys on your nose?
A nice, quiet patio!
We watched the geese and goslings.
We watched two Le Boat boats go by. You can rent them. Thing is, there has been a history of spilling diesel fuel. They solved this by painting the water tank cap and the diesel cap different colours. It could have been overfilling, as the firefighters said it looked like a sheen of diesel fuel on the water. It is a difficult thing to determine, apparently.

Wonderful patio views, and I could hear the wind on your videos! Oh Fred! He must really think you built that deck for his benefit...keeps a bit of rain out of his den, gives a nice stretch to lie upon, and such a good lookout for whatever groundhogs need to lookout for!
I've never stuck a maple key on my nose. I feel like I've missed out.
Thanks for your blog with beautiful photos. Yes, sometimes we need to check the weather before planning to go somewhere, right? 🌦️ Here, showers can come up suddenly. But the Netherlands is small, so you can quickly find a place to take shelter.
Putting a 'a little helicopter' on your nose, I used to do that too. How funny! 😂
Was it a tough week for you all?
That's not good...
33Celsius, whew, that's hot, no wonder Fred stretched out. Lovely view for a meal.
What a beautiful view! It'd be a peaceful place to sit and stare I would think.
Poor Fred.
Loving your patio views. I hope this week is less tough - for you and for Fred.
Great cloud photos of the coming storm.
This looks like the most wonderful time. The two of you look so happy -- love the view, love the smiles!
I do like your patio views.
Can't say I've ever put a maple key on my nose!
All the best Jan
