In the morning we have the Group of Seven who
visit looking for chow. There is one special one, he appears to be a yearling twin and we named him 'Tigger'. He bounces up to us, eager for food.
The others are a bit more aggressive. They snort at me, frosty breath rising like hoarfrost. I snort back and they back off. They stamp at me and I stamp back. Off they go, beyond the shed into the forest.
Tigger, however, bounces around in front of me. We love him!

Once, happily indoors, I watch the show. We call it 'TV' for the cats.

You have to appreciate how quickly this happened. I wish I'd had my videocamera handy.

Yes. Again. Herding 30 wild turkeys and 7 deer. You'll forgive the darkness of the shots. It is hard even for the pros to photograph on snow. And a black cat on white snow... on a cloudy day?

That is very funny. When I was a kid and we lived in White Mountains of Arizona we had a cat who stalked our neighbors horses and cows as well as the lumber trucks that zoomed by on the highway by our house.
"Crazy" was the name we gave him.

What a cool series. Being currently imprisoned in suburbia I am totally envious of the wildlife you have in such proximity! Our greatest wildlife adventure in our yard was when a young Cooper's Hawk killed our resident Mockingbird. Thanks for a great blog & also for sharing!
Oliver your Black Panther instincs are getting stronger....maybe one of these days we may witness an actual Attack!!!!!! he is Special!!!!!
Can I borrow your cat? Yes the deer stand out after a snow but we do not have any little ones this year. Saw a big old owl sunning himself though last week. Keep lovin' the critters! Nice Post! W.C.C.

Triger is going to be one very interesting guy. I hope he stays around. Perhaps Oliver will adopt him. (Grin)! ATB!
LOL -- good job Oliver! He's so cute :-) Our kitties would never dream of going outside, especially in the snow. They are all terribly spoiled kitties who can't stand to get their feet wet or their fur cold!
