Thursday, Sept. 6th, 10:00 a.m.
We were off to the city for another appointment. We try to make it fun! The weather didn't look very good, nothing like hurricane Irma, but we packed umbrellas. We avoided our usual route, due to construction in Smiths Falls. The clouds were amazing!

It was a bit scary. I was gazing at the new retirement home, and came up to a red light. The left turn signal showed for us, just as a couple using walkers were crossing. Everyone waited, thankfully.

11:45 a.m. Our Hospital Restaurant
First stop was Robbie's. Hubby calls this our Hospital Restaurant. When we have an afternoon appointment for his cancer treatments, we stop here early enough for lunch. Lovely service, very quick, and a great spot to eat. I played around with the Toons app on the iPad. We both had the sesame stir fry!

12:23 we were done!
We popped in to see good friends I haven't seen in 10 years. I went to Ryerson with them (1979). They were home, they live 10 minutes from the hospital, and we visited, leaving their house just as lightning cracked.1:34 p.m.
By the time we arrived at the hospital parking lot, it DUMPED rain! I had my umbrella. It goes from white and black to colours in the rain!We had questionnaires to fill in, as we're participating in a research study. Done by 2:12. I played with the iPad.
Doctor popped in, reviewed the file. Nurse popped in at 2:41. We were done.

2:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m arrived home
It was a slow drive home, as I had to avoid Smiths Falls, our usual route, due to construction. Which is good, as there were amazing skies, again. I managed to get us lost in Barrhaven, trying to argue with the GPS. It has changed so much. I used to spend a lot of time here, but it's all built up.These screen captures are for hubby, who had NO idea where we were! I knew I didn't want to go down Greenbank, but there I was!
