Motts Mills

We've been here before. Motts Mills Refurbished Dam, July, 2016. There wasn't much water flow.

They've refurbished it, and it's a good thing! Look, and listen to the rush of water, after our massive rains.

Motts Mills Refurbished Dam

After sitting with my client on Sunday, I needed to depressurize. I stopped at Motts Mills on the way home. They have refurbished their dam, with our tax dollars, as well as money donated by Ducks Unlimited. The land was first donated in 1991.

They have created a path out to where the dam used to run. A bench for contemplation of the dry waterbed, and some minnows.

On Facebook I posted the photo asking for an ID of this flyer. My droll friend suggested it was Fred. Bob said it was a the damselfly. That narrows it down. We were on the back deck, and we looked it up in my book. It is a Jewel Damselfly. Also, a duck, snapping turtle. minnows and a bullfrog.
