Many of us have read of the incursion of Ukranian soldiers into Russian territory, the oblast of Kursk. They captured 100 FSB Russian soldiers.
Ukraine has taken more ground in the last several days than Russia has done in the last 6 months at a fraction of the cost.

Joe, ever the war historian, a walking encyclopedia, told me about Kursk. Kursk was the largest single battle in the history of warfare (Wiki). Primarily tanks, this was between the Soviet Union and Germany, in 1943.
The area around Kursk was the site of a turning point in the Soviet–German struggle during World War II and the site of the single largest battle in history.
