What is Lake Effect Snow?

Another incident!
In Halifax she was fined $180!
A 37-year-old woman has been ticketed after driving what Halifax police have described as a 'moving snowbank.'

This is what it looks like on the ground. Brussels, west of Toronto, north of Mississauga, gets its fair share.  Dorks! An update states the man is 80 years old!

"He is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with having an obstructed view. He gave him a ticket and warning. Then, the officer cleared the rest of the snow from the man's car and let him on his way."

This guy was fined $110. 

Lake Effect Snow is a real thing. This is what it looks like on the radar, having seen what it looks like on cars.

The prevailing winds and Alberta clippers, and/or the jet stream, picks up lake water. The Great Lakes, with our mild December, aren't frozen.
