On a dreary day (Sunday) we decided to go for a drive to a fair & horse show.
Remember THESE colours in 2008? Go Greens! (My son-in-law is running in Nepean-Carleton against Poilevre!)
Lots of clouds and scattered showers. This shot, from 2008, shows off the leaves much better with the contrasting clouds and sky.
The sumac is just about done with its showy dress-up clothing.
Here I am, 2008, on our balcony. This tree is skipping the yellow this year, and going straight to red! More shots to do later!
Remember Hurricane Hanna in September, 2008?

Hi, Jenn,
The trees are turning here, too. To be expected. I was surprised to still hear the redwings this morning. Maybe that means we will miss winter this year (HA!)! But we are getting a lot of rain, so I am working in the house today, again.
The colors are wonderful. Love the view from your deck.
You look beautiful at the book signing.
Our trees are just starting to turn. I hope your colors in 2009 are as good as they were last year.
Sure, Judy! Lots of rain here. I might take the day off. (Of what, I don't know...but taking it easy!)
Gaelyn, *blush* you are so kind to say so!
It's been a long haul back from depression and feeling stressed caregiving for my parents!
What glorious, colorful shots! Our trees are just beginning to turn, the really brilliant colors will be a little later. What a grand view from the deck!
Have a great day!
Sylvia
Jenn: Looks like you are much further along that we, the weather sure changed today. Your tree photos are lovely.
we had lots of rain here on Sunday too!
Your red trees are so beautiful. have a great day!
That third photo is a show-stopper!
Thank you, both!
That red maple is simply glorious!
Love the colors. Sure wish I could have made it to the mountains this fall.
You fall colors last year were beautiful indeed. Here, we don’t have too much color change yet. But it has been raining quite a lot – flooding really – so the colors may be nice this year.
Gorgeous fall colors! So pretty!
Ours have not really started to turn yet. Only a few here and there. Thanks for sharing your world.
wow. it is a beautiful season to shoot landscapes. i would definitely love to explore more of the place. thanks for sharing.
When we left Powell River everything was still green. I bet by the time we get back (hopefully Friday) the trees will already be golden. I love looking across the bay at the maples that climb up the gullies. Looks like your book tour is continuing. Best of luck. - Margy
I can't get enough fall color. This year's, last year's I'll take it all.
