Lots of blackbirds have been gathering in our forest. There are reams of insects for them to eat! The birds fly a few at a time across the opening in our forest. Startling to watch as there are so many. Fall is approaching!
The blackbirds are a bit haunting, however. They fly in a few at a time. Then, they suddenly fill the forest or the lawn. I always think of that creepy Hitchcock film, The Birds (1963)
when I see them! I love it when they hear a noise and fly off in synchronization, a skill I never mastered when on the synchro team in high school!
