Bugs in May: wind, rain, snow, sleet

What a surprise, wind and snow, with bugs galore. It is tent caterpillar season. I gathered the tent caterpillars off of the tree and fed them to the water creatures. My late parents planted this tree a few years ago, a crab apple, methinks. Very sad to lose it.

  1. i give the tent caterpillars to the chickens who act like they've never been fed! We usually get them in late summer, but I've seen some already.

  2. Happier crab apple and very happy sunfish! Nice pictures and busy wind chimes! You must keep us updated on the ailing snapping turtle. I hope it's just spring allergies for the poor dear.
