Fred Groundhog appeared twice. She is anxious for spring. 1) Thursday, March 19, and 2) Sunday, March 22nd. The two of them have been asleep since
I decided, after my PA suggested it, to put several carrots down for her on Monday. They were still there Tuesday.
She is a vegetarian, and there isn't anything green out there! I keep telling her to hang on.

I've been growing sprouts. Too bad I can't give these to Fred!
Sadly, I am failing. I put the filter and the seeds into the bottom layer. The clear top level is supposed to drain into the opaque one. Whoopsie. I couldn't figure out why the water wasn't draining.

So much activity! What a delight to observe it. I’m an early to bed with a book girl too.
ReplyDeleteLovely looking sprouts. Hope Fred enjoys carrots whenever she again wakes up.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your blog this morning, my mind immediately went to Fred and sure enough, there he was! You have so many critter friends visiting you, let's hope Mr. Coyote leaves them alone!
ReplyDeleteWe saw our first crocuses -- very tiny and slender and very few of them, but they were there.

Poor Fred! well soon enough there will be greens everywhere. I failed at sprouts, I think the contraption was too much for me. If I just throw seeds outside it works better?
ReplyDeleteI don't blame Fred for going back to bed.
ReplyDeleteAw, poor Fred. Here's hoping you have some green soon.
ReplyDeleteSprouts, yeah. I tried again last year but kept forgetting them.
...we all are anxious for spring!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's nice to feed Mr. Fred. Linda in Kansas
