Deer family and fundraisers

I keep saying it, but soon it'll be the last of the deer. They disperse in summer.

They lay down, eyes and ears peeled for predators while chewing their cud.

The cats and I need morning entertainment. Normally they fight outside the door. I try to let one of them inside the bathroom while I do my ablutions. It occurred to me to put the ribbon under the door. This was Cinnamon's turn. Nutmeg was outside the door.

We've had a pair of crows. I peeked out the window, and they flew off.

Next, along comes a single turkey tom. The fawn found the creature interesting.

In news, the 🇨🇦 Canadian flight attendant who was ejected from the Jazz plane in that horrific incident at 🇺🇸 LaGuardia is facing a long journey back to health. According to her fundraiser, she flew 100m in the air. There are lots of surgeries, and she is still in a New York hospital. It is going to cost a fortune to get her all the surgeries and rehab she will need. It's beyond me why someone else isn't paying for this. It would be covered with universal healthcare in Canada.

AV Brief

While I am at it. Our blog friend, Scary Mary, has bad news about her daughter and her health issues. A family friend is doing a fundraiser: GoFundMe Link. Not only that, but Mary herself had a health  episode: Apartment Life #413. I feel so badly for all those going though trauma.

  1. Oh turkey and fawn video is so wonderful to see...how creatures must think about each other, while the human creatures are so oblivious. And your cats with the ribbon are hilarious too!

  3. The crows are back to foraging in the compost pit out back. I'm happy to see them. The single dove is hanging around the back porch too. It's mate will soon join it.

  4. It is really interesting, the way the deer react where you are. We are just starting to see them now, out of yarding, and they will be around at least until the end of the blackfly season.

  6. Sweet pictures of the deer and I enjoyed the cat and ribbon videos.

Yes, I was visiting Mary's blog recently and saw her health update on her daughter and of course Mary's health issues. Prayers for both of them.

    All the best Jan

  7. Loved the photos and the videos. The tug of ribbon game was a hoot and that deer and turkey video was fascinating. The turkey wasn't so sure. What an awful thing for Mary's daughter. I hadn't heard anything of this, the crash yes but nothing about the victims. Thank you for the links. I'll give what I can to the gofundme. We have several family and friends who are going through it, I feel badly for everyone who is dealing with life's traumas. This one was horrific!
