It has been amazingly cold. I've brought in a couple of my trailcams as they don't work at certain temperatures. Also, moisture gets in. I'll thaw them, and put them out in a few days.
I made Joe Brian and the cats a fire. They watched curling and football in the basement!
I went to the front door, flicked on the spotlight. I scared Labbit. I felt badly. There isn't much under the bird feeders. She sure can run!
There were 16 deer Sunday morning. They wander at all hours.
I'm keeping the feeders full.
I switched out the bird feeders, knowing we are desperately cold. I put out the big feeder, which I'd cleaned. The woodpeckers prefer the bigger 'tube' feeder.
Frog pond:
It is cold, but the snow protects the land.
We had a fair amount of snow last night, and it is still snowing today, Monday. The back deck is laden with snow.
I went out into the garage and peeked out there (lower right). You can see deer tracks in the far ground, and Labbit tracks in the fore ground. The garbage isn't going out!
Deer in snow...
Alright, coffee, breakfast, and I've a driveway and sidewalk to clear!

...stay warm and well.
ReplyDeleteWe’ve had two passes, but we’re staying in for now. Shauna is going to work at home today.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteWe are shoveling out now. Great captures of the deer and a nice variety of birds. Take care, stay warm and safe. Enjoy your day and the week ahead.
Sounds like you've got your work cut out for you. I liked seeing little labbit taking a run. Take care and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteSo glad this one mostly missed us. We got MAYBE four inches.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That looks like a really tough job this time.
ReplyDeleteCol and lots of snow.
Be careful. I know you will be.
The birds are thankful for you providing them seeds. I honestly can not imagine the kind of cold you all have. take care.
ReplyDeleteWow, I hope you had a hearty breakfast - that's a lot of work! The quick run for the rabbit probably warmed her up.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the birds are happy. That's a lot of snow.
ReplyDeleteWe got 60 cm of snow here and we have nowhere to put so much. It is now blowing off the roof.
ReplyDeleteStay warm!
ReplyDeleteI am out of seed. I can probably get some on Wednesday when I have to go out but have been laying low. You be careful out there. That's all looking pretty intense!
ReplyDeleteHope your critter appreciate your food, as much as I appreciate the videos and photos of them! You are a great bridge between their needs and my pleasure. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou keep very busy with your snow and many outdoor activities.
ReplyDeleteStay safe, Jenn. The temperature is supposed to be brutal for some time, I think.
ReplyDeleteLove all the wildlife photos. The birds must love all the bird feeders.
ReplyDeleteOH wow! You got a lot of snow. My daughter and son-in-law have been busy shoveling snow in Chicago too. I haven't experienced this kind of cold in 20 years, but we've leaving for Hokkaido soon for the Ice Festival and I think I'm in for a rude chilly awakening.
