Assistive devices
Many of us are managing our health issues. We are living longer than our parents, and grandparents. That means more time for things to go wrong. One of us has issues getting in and out of bed. I mentioned it to Caitlin. She found us Econorail. It was tricky finding the specs, but I found them.
It wasn't too daunting!
You're supposed to run the strap under the mattress. We tried it without.
It was chilly this morning, 9 ℃, but it will warm up. Welcome to August.
It works, and gives us peace of mind.
We were watching The Paris Murders, with subtitles, and spotted a gray tree frog on the window. Great little bug eaters!
Pretzel cat
Morning before the storm!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteIt is a good safety device to have. Love the frog and kitty photos.
Pretty flowers, we seem to have lots of thunderstorms lately.
Take care, Happy Friday! Have a great weekend.
That bed rail looks interesting. And don't you love a pretzel cat?
ReplyDeleteBeds a high now. Sue has a little stepping stool to help her get up and in.
ReplyDeleteYour worm is perturbed. We called those tomato worms in Oklahoma and plucked them off our tomato plants. Even worse, we apologize for our jerk of an alleged president. I'm still stunned at the number of people blindly following him. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteI've seen rails like that for toddlers, but it's good to know they also come in adult sizes.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the rain storm coming across. I could just imagine the temperature improving.

What's going on with that caterpillar? Seems to be having some trouble.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great thing for helping to get out of bed.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice that you are seeing some of your flowers bloom.
Many oldies are too proud to use devices which assist them.
ReplyDeleteThat bedside helper looks quite promising. I have a pretzel cat, too. Amazing how they can get comfy in that and similar positions.
ReplyDeleteColorful flowers and garden. Your milkweed is doing great.
My Dad had a bed thingy just like that we did strap it to the mattress:) Nice Sphinx Moth!
ReplyDeleteThe gray tree frog on your window is a cool visitor, and Pretzel cat is adorable! It's also fantastic that your deer fence is protecting your blossoms; that pre-bloom photo is a smart idea. Finding a sphinx moth and caterpillar is a special treat too.
ReplyDeleteGood idea on the contraption for the bed. I have taken notes! I am going to have to check out The Paris Murders. I got pretty good at reading subtitles on our TV when growing up. I love your heron figures! Pretzel cat is so cute. Wish I was that limber. Froggy was interesting. Fascinated with the sphinx caterpillar! Turns into a real beauty! Looks like you are going to have lovely blooms!
ReplyDeleteWell, my mom is living with us and her dementia is progressing. We took away the box spring from her bed a long time ago so she wouldn’t fall off and hurt herself. A friend of ours had that happen and injured himself. That looks like a interesting helpful thing to remember.
