Bird watching from the warmth of the living room is a pleasure!
Then the ice storm hit last week. I cannot begrudge them the food. It's wet and cold outside.
I put the seed tray out back.
The birds are really hungry.
I was awake with the storm this morning, from 3 - 5 a.m.! We had 35mm rain (1.36"), and Cinnamon didn't like it. He snuggled on my arm, then a loud crackle of lightning, and he'd raise his head. Our snow isn't gone yet! We'll see what today brings.
Squirrels are always at my bird feeders but of late they have moved a whole clan in. In reality, I am feeding squirrels. Right now three of them are scrapping over one feeders with another half dozen scampering around the yard.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the worst didn’t happen overnight.
ReplyDeleteAt least Cinnamon snugs with you during storms. Lizzie goes down under!
ReplyDeleteLove the birdie with the dark blue head. Stay safe out there! Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteWow, you are still having winter! Glad the tulips are there. And those birds (including the rodent with fluffy tail) are grateful you're feeding them! Lot of rain there!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a wonderful assortment of birds.
ReplyDeleteThe weather seems to bring more birds to the feeders.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to watch the bird from inside.
I hope the weather clears, stay safe.
Take care, have a great day!
That little mouse is too cute. Love all the birds.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the feathered enchantment.
