A tropical heat wave and then thunder storms and a cool down. Lotsa fun! The critters are busy.
I was quite excited to spot an Eastern Comma or Question Mark laying eggs on the Hops Vine. I'm working on taking macro photos of them. The Leaf Hopper was just a bonus!
It is tough telling apart the Question Mark and the Comma! They are so fast. We shall see what hatches...

Hello,
ReplyDeleteThe muskrat does not like it's home being re-arranged.
I love all your butterflies, great captures.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Muskrat and the bear. It sounds like a movie title! The butterflies are wonderful, no matter what their name! I hope you see baby Freddies soon!
ReplyDeleteYou got lots of critter activity going on this week.
ReplyDeleteThem darn Grackles are what dominate my trail cam shots all summer long so far. Tem and squirrels eating from the bird feeders. I have all the squirrel and grackle shots I'll need for the rest of my life.
Happy Saturday
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous butterflies and fun videos of your critters! Happy weekend my friend!
ReplyDeleteFred is a mystery.
ReplyDeleteThere's some great competition between critters. The Fred story is interesting and has you stumped.
ReplyDeleteI'm a great fan of butterflies, since my visit, many years ago, to the Valley of the Butterflies, outside the city of Rhodes (island of Rodos).
ReplyDeleteFascinating valley, fascinating butterflies!
I wouldn't like my home being rearrranged by an interloper either.
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your critters.
All the best Jan
Beautiful macros of the insects!
ReplyDeleteLove your videos.
Be safe with that bear around!
Loved hearing the flicker and Cinnamon talking to each other. Perhaps!
ReplyDeleteYou sure have quite the variety of critters! I've never heard of the comma or question mark. I'll have to look them up.
ReplyDeleteLoving the bugs. And I'm always taken back by the bears. Wow! We have flickers here, but I've only seen one in the patio once. Striking birds!
