Stewart Park Music Festival

More interested in the artisans, on a very hot day, we parked and wandered along to the park. It is a popular, free festival sustained by donations.

Everyone was getting ready for the first show of the day.

We bought a duck, but didn't win the duck race. No matter, they raised several thousand dollars for the local kids' club, YAK.
The creativity of some people is amazing.

Looks lovely... meanwhile, masking is important; I was the only one in the supermarket yesterday with a mask on - and got looks of disdain from those who were not. They can go.....hrrmpphh... YAM xx

  2. I’m sure that it is a fine festival, but we have never attended. We once looked into it, but the logistics overwhelmed us.

  8. Hello Jenn, :=) I love this kind of community festival. I'm glad money was raised for the kids. Lovely flowers and photos of the craft stalls.
    All the best.

  9. If it wasn't too hot, I think this festival would have been fun. Did you get to keep the duck, or was it symbolic? They were really cute, at least the one I saw on the table. Glad you had a good time, but I am in agreement that we all need to be masking up when we go out. And yet, there were none in sight.

  11. Local festivities are sometimes the ones when you find the best arts & crafts. Right now, for us, most are too peopley for us to feel comfortable attending. Good luck with the pulmonary function test & that the new meds help.
