The buck was by for a munch. It wasn't the last we'd see of him. This is the view from the front window.
The deer have been busy. It is rutting season, and the males are on the move. During the rest of the year they travel alone, but when the females come into heat (only for 24 hours) the males have to be ready! Usually November.
I spotted them out back, watching the action from the deck – there was a bit of a chase.

ReplyDeleteIt's a busy time for all the animals!
ReplyDeleteI did hear a large plane that afternoon. That explains it.
ReplyDeleteThe trailcams do take in a lot.
Your deer videos are outstanding! Always enjoy them. Interesting about the planes too.
ReplyDeleteA very good selection of videos.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday Wishes.
All the best Jan
Here the bucks are having little tussles. I watch them on my evening walk. The tussles are always short. Never had a ride in a Herc.
ReplyDeleteYou are so wonderful to take such good care of your frogs.
