Rain and critters

If all went well, I've had my cataract surgery Friday morning. "It's only money!" I'm scheduling this in advance as I don't know how I will be. I'll post on that later.

We've had rain! It's not as much as in other years. I neglected to put in a title, but this is the rain graph for July over the years, beginning in 2013.

The woods have been quiet on the rainy nights, but there are critters! Nutmeg snagged one. She growled LOUDLY when Cinnamon approached. She is definitely the Alpha!

OK, this is fun.  My DIL, Stacie, made this puppet. She's been designing costumes for shows, and is quite the seamstress, as well as actor.  Our Vancouver kids have just moved, and Stacie sent me 'Felix', as they are trying to clear things out. It looks like him! Jesse, ironically, had laser surgery back in the day.

On the path, down to the meadow, I spotted a monarch laying an egg. This was last week. I went back, and couldn't find the egg. I've looked everywhere on the plant!

I spotted my first caterpillar this week. We had dozens last year. We'll see what this year brings.

Forest critters!

Don't blink, but the coyote came on through!

Don't blink, again. It reminds me of the ten tests I had for my eyes last week, "Don't move, Don't blink!"

  4. You will be seeing things that were a blur, wonderful news that it is happening right now. Remember, no bending over for weeks, I forget how many they told Hugh. Roll on next July or August when I can have mine done. We will all expect the news to be the best ever.XXXXXX
