New video camera!

My old videocamera pooched out on me. I bought a new one (Panasonic HC-W580)  and is it ever amazing. It lost a few features the Sony had, but added WiFi capabilities, I can send photos to my Smartphone (if I had one!)
It's really high-def. You can see from the tree frog video.
The quality, developed over the three years I owned the old one, is much, much better. Not only that, but you can take a selfie inset in the image facing forward. Now, I won't overuse this setting, but I did have to try it out! Here I am in the kiddie pool Grampa bought us! The girls come back for a week today!

The video below was taken in the dark, on the back deck, using the new motion sensor light we bought for the hallway. The old one pooched out, as well! It shows blue, but also has a flashlight in it. We're both up often in the night, and it works well.

  6. I know in the still camera, interchangeable lens platform, Panasonic has an excellent reputation for video.

  7. A great camera. What an interesting tree frog. I haven't seen any this year and probably won't with all the dry heat. We've been up at the cabin almost continually since May so Internet has been limited. Trying to get caught up a bit being in town today. - Margy
