I spotted the Barred owl!

It was very exciting, having seen Tigger this past weekend, as well. I heard the blue jays all calling and nagging something as I took my daily walkabout. Sure enough, there was my owl. I last saw it on Dec. 23rd. As I approached, the blue jays dispersed. Then I walked around her, and as I walked towards the house, they came back. I approached for a second look and off they went, again. Poor owl just sitting there hunting. Even the chickadees were giving her a hard time!

The wind was ruffling her feathers. She tolerated me, however.

  2. Your owl is magnificent and seems perfectly relaxed with you. Have not seen a barred owl here yet. All that name calling by the smaller birds must be annoying. Handy for us, though, for the owl watching tip offs.
