Hunkering down for winter

I was upstairs watching taped movies, downstairs, JB and the three girls were watching football beside the fire.

The deer were hovering in the yard.

Tuesday afternoon, the snow began to fall. Annabelle wasn't impressed! It's rained all night on top of this and it is now ice. The bird feeders are indoors thawing on a towel.

In the meantime, in Ottawa, a double decker bus caught fire. I'm happy to have boring days!

  1. Stay in, keep warm, find a good book, let the cats and Jo do whatever they want to, and those deer and all others outside, I am sure they know where to go. Very windy here.

  4. Very cold, yikes. Your days are never boring, but I know what you mean. My daughter (whose days are never boring either) has a favorite mantra 'Thank God for ordinary days."

  5. Your area is what winter should look like with the snow and the animals. Here in Georgia, at the beginning of last week we had snow and 28 F (-2 C) and today it was back to 73 F (22.7 C) and wearing no coats. Snow only lasted one day – I miss it a bit.

  6. It has been such a strange winter. We received the freezing rain but no snow. Days like that it is best just to hunker down with a good book!
    Stay safe.
