We expect -18 C. tonight, must get out there!

    Looking so cold, and I wonder if the antlers just fall out, or do they have to rub them against a tree? Cooler down here, about 10C at 7 a.m. instead of the energy sapping 26C in the early mornings. Daisy is a brave girl.

    Jean: They just fall off when the blood flow fails after the hormones stop. There is some blood, which is a clue as to where they are.
    We had -26 and today was a warm 3 C.!
