One time we were visiting Mom and Dad, who had gone upstairs at their usual 8:00 p.m. bedtime. (Dad got up at 5:30 to put on the fire every day.) Mom went with him. We settled down, downstairs, in front of the TV on the couch. Unfamiliar with a satellite TV clicker, we were looking for something to watch.

I'm crowing! |
I don't want to crow, but they would have been so happy with the performance of the Jays!
During hockey season it was the Maple Leafs. As a child, I remember Dad tromping upstairs Saturday nights after the game, not so happy that they'd lost, again. Overpaid, spoiled, rich boys who cottaged and golfed in Muskoka with their easily won fortunes. Just sayin'!
Here are some blue jays I've photographed.

You have captured the Jay beautifully in these images.
ReplyDeleteYour blue jays are very colourful!
ReplyDeleteI love my blue jays in my garden, too. Some great shots of them "playing" in your area. Happy Critter Day!
ReplyDeleteLove the one with its wings wide open. All are terrific jay images. We don't get them this far south, so this was a special treat for me.
ReplyDeleteFabulous shots! I'd rather watch these kind of bluejays any day! :-)

Gorgeous captures of the jays! The blue colour is very pretty. Our jays are brownish.
