Fun at the pond

Peace and quiet on the dock. A dragonfly landed on my butterfly t-shirt!
A bullfrog seems to like my turtle basking platform.
Bambi has been trimming my hibiscus, but the law of doubling works. Plant double what you want. Works for the squirrels and bulbs, too!
The hibiscus are in bloom, as are the pink phlox - they smell heavenly.

  5. Beautiful. I have seen and heard of alligator basking platforms but I guess turtles like to bask also.

  6. Hibiscus is not only a beautiful flower, it is also used in medicine (hypertension). With the knowledge that is available nowadays, we don't look at plants just for their beauty; we also try to assess their health benefit for the human body.

Your decking is proving its worth for R&R!!! the father's garden was rather overgrown - but with beauty; including very abundant phlox. It perfumes the air so wonderfully, but I made the mistake of cutting some for inside. We both nearly suffocated from its pungency. Onto the compost. I also got several good shots of the bees enjoying the hypericum - your new header reminded me! YAM xx
