Purple Finch on the feeder

I had a day of rest May 4th. I've over done my yard work. I have some pulled tendons in my feet. I sat on the front porch and watched the birds, trying not to worry about the smoke I could smell.
I wasn't 3' away from him. You have to be vewwy, vewwy qwiet!
I was fascinated with the way he could crack the seed in his mouth, spitting out the hulls while keeping the meat!
