Daisy hunts mice from a tree; Dorah helps

Daisy sat in the tree, waiting for a bird. As if they'd miss her, bright white on the brown branch!
She looks up at the bird,
high atop the tree

It's warmer on the branch than on the snow!
Then I realized she was just gazing upward at a bird for a moment. In fact, she and her sister were hunting mice, again!

March 31st, we were sitting in the sunshine on the deck, cats watching.

They could hear the mice under the granular snow, some of it melting in the warm sunshine. Dorah (left) was keen, but Daisy takes the lead. Daisy returned to the concrete steps, you can tell them apart since Dorah has a bigger belly. She is more like Sadie, a fair weather cat. Daisy is a busy girl, up the trees, chasing her dratted red squirrels. I love catching Daisy doing prairie dog poses. Dorah tried it, too!
Later on, they both  decided to climb!
