Here, February 8th, big winds and lots of snow. Dawn has come, as it tends to do! The sun on the bosom of the snow, is a beautiful sight.

I love the radar. The blizzard is a combination of three weather systems: an Alberta clipper of cold air, a Texas low of warm, moist air and a powerful storm that began in the Carolinas.
Below are total snow amounts reported as of 1:00 AM Saturday.

No sooner did I use the snowblower on the driveway, than it needed to be done again. This was the frist 4" from Friday. Today, Saturday, I shall attack it again!

This is a big snow! I would have missed it altogether if I was not in Rye, New York visiting my daughter. We are definitely housebound!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are safe and sound during this blizzard. Clearing all that snow is hard. I remember one year, we ran out of places to put the snow. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI love those night time photos.
ReplyDeleteRecord breaking amounts in the Quinte region too ... 31 cm. Let the digging begin :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Jenn! Too much white stuff. Don't spend too much time measuring it..you'll freeze your fingers. Stay warm...looks like a good time to cozy up with a cup of tea or something by the fireplace and play with the kittens.
ReplyDeleteGreat post ~ having fun with Mother Nature's gift of snow ~

It's kind of nice to see all the snow, it's the way it's supposed to be at this time of year! Heard it's supposed to rain on Monday.
