The 7 Wonders of Lanark County: #5a Orchid colony at Purdon Conservation Area

Great conservation area whether
it is time for the orchids
 (June/July) or not!

It is a pretty boardwalk, with many signs that explain the flora. Of course, no blooms in the fall. They die off after July.

  1. I'm enjoying your 7 wonders of Lanark County. It proves we don't have to travel for miles to see some great things. Lots are right there in our own communities.

  4. I love the signage that explains the areas and flora and fauna. I shall go back in spring! This was one way to archive the info for plants we have in our bog!
